Surprisingly purple in tonality, this wine is youthful and concentrated. The bouquet is remarkable for the clarity and cleanness of the decidedly intense aromas it offers, which range from dried flowers to pleasant spices, taking in cloves and pepper along the way, ennobling the fruity base of blackcurrants and blackberries and opening out the balsamic notes of the finish. Once on the palate, the opulence of this wine becomes instantly apparent. Chewy, with great consistency, it works by caressing the palate with tannins which, although noticeable, tend to melt into the alcohol. The finish is prolonged and loaded with flavour.
