The producer
Grandfather Abele purchased the vineyard in 1920 from Count Balbi-Valier. Shaped as an amphitheatre, and exposed to the South, its shallow calcareous soil is set on the under lying bedrock, which crops out occasionally. The Prosecco vines, clinging to chestnut stakes, unwind themselves into parallel rows with an incisive advance typical of these laborious and ancient cultivations. From here, starting with the cultivation of the vine and the grape, we prepare the basis for the production of our greatest spumante. It is the constant care and tenacity that exalt the "cru" quality of this vineyard. The result of this is a wine that combines and exalts the characteristics of the Prosecco: an important wine and through our grand-father's recognition of quality, which achieved had been chosen in 1933 to represent our area at the Siena Wine Exhibition.
Solid roots of effort and tradition have given the life blood to a plant exuberant and full of fruit. Following grandfather Abele and father Adriano, the youngest generation, Armando and Franco, both of whom graduated in Oenology, have brought to the house of Adami refined technological specialization in the art of producing the fine spumante wines typical of Valdobbiadene. In addition, accurate administration and efficient commercial organization enable Adami to call upon the most prestigious specialists in Italy and abroad. This is how our family expresses the values of our land: sond work, harmony and respect for human relationships, a sense of hospitality, and a continuity between past and present. We are an estate, and above all, a family. |

Bottling Time
Prosecco displays its truest characteristics--crisp, fresh, and fruity--if consumed in the year after vintage. However, in the following years, if cellared under proper conditions, intensity of flavours and fruitiness will lessen somewhat, but the wine-lover may be pleasantly surprised by a greater complexity on nose and palate. |
